…to Canada Youth Challenge, a youth outreach program sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.



WHAT IS CANADA YOUTH CHALLENGE (CYC)? line
  • CYC was started in 1998 to provide summer ministry opportunities for young people while they are pursuing their education.
  • Since 1998, CYC has also helped many students to qualify for certain scholarships.
  • Each summer approximately 100 students participate in this community-based program.
  • CYC students visit families to help and minister to different needs. They also share materials which help improve spiritual life, health, social skills, and character development of children.



Jumping Enthusiasm HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK? line Students commit a minimum of 10 weeks to the project.

2008 program dates* are as follows:
Spring January 3 to April 30
Summer May 13 to August 25
Fall Sept. 3 to December 20

*Personalized schedules can be arranged to meet individual needs.

Training, supervision, and transportation available.

International students are welcome with appropriate visas.

Listen & Winner Magazine Covers HOW IS CYC INVOLVED IN DRUG PREVENTION? line
CYC recognizes education and prevention as the 2 key protecting principles.

CYC has helped place Listen and Winner drug prevention journals in thousands of schools across Canada and North America.

Winner (for pre-teens) and Listen (for teens) are the official publications of the International Commission for the Prevention of Alcohol and Drug Dependency (ICPA), a non-government organization of the United Nations and World Health Organization.
